Big Daddy Kane is a Grammy Award-winning rapper and actor who started his career in 1986 as a member of the rap collective, the Juice Crew. He is widely considered to be one of the most influential and skilled MCs in hip-hop. "The Symphony" is considered the first bonafide posse-cut in rap history. "The Symphony" was the first instance of four solo artists battling it out for mic supremacy. Produced by Marley Marl, the song featured the Juice Crew, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G. Rap, Masta Ace and Craig G, all testing their mettle against one another in an epic clash of the titans. It's still regarded as one of the greatest and most influential songs in the genre's history.
